2004-12-01/ The Libyan -German economic Forum is under way in Tripoli under the supervision of Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
It is sponsored by the General Peoples’ Committee for Economy and Trade and the German Federal Ministries of Works and Economy. More than 180 biggest German companies specialized in the fields of oil, energy, electricity, tourism, solar energy, railway, transportation, aviation, computer and a number of economic activists in Libya are taking part.
The forum aims to enhance and promote the economic relations between the two countries.
Germany is considered one of the important commercial partners to Libya where the Libyan export to Germany forms ( 14.7%) of the total exportation to the world and German import forms( 11%) of the Libyan total import.
